Agami is an initiative catalysing innovation and collaborative action to advance new and improved systems of law and justice. Over the course of year and a half, we have launched multiple initiatives such as the Agami Prize, Agami Summit, and a series of innovation challenges to trigger innovation towards big opportunities for impact, the Agami E-ADR Challenge and, more recently, the Agami Data for Justice Challenge.
Agami is led by its co-founders Supriya Sankaran and Sachin Malhan.
Supriya is an entrepreneur, lawyer and former Director of Ashoka India who, over the last eight years at Ashoka, has supported the launch of over 100 social entrepreneurs, redesigned Ashoka's Fellowship Support Program and co-created collaborative initiatives such as the Wellbeing Project. Prior to joining Ashoka, she was a Principal Associate at the leading law firm Amarchand Mangaldas, New Delhi where she led several capital market transactions. She is a graduate of NALSAR University of Law.
Sachin is an entrepreneur, lawyer and former Executive Direction of the Changemakers program at the leading global non-profit Ashoka. Before Ashoka, Sachin created ventures at the intersection of law, technology education and impact - Law School Tutorials, the national leader in law test prep, Rainmaker (which also spun out Vahura and myLaw) and Inclusive Planet which contributed to policy change for the visually impaired. Sachin’s ventures that have achieved significant social and commercial impact and also experienced a healthy dose of failure.
Agami has also enjoyed the support of founding partners such as Vahura and Bayside Tech. Both organizations have been involved with the creation of Agami from its inception. Vahura is India’s leading legal talent management firm with clients that include blue chip corporates and top law firms. Bayside Tech is a legal-tech firm that works at the intersection of law, policy, technology, and data.
